Catherine Levanza, or Cathy, as she is called by friends and colleagues in aviation, is a self-made woman who literally rose through the ranks on her own.
Cathy graduated from the Dela Salle university college of St. Benilde in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, Major in Consular and Diplomatic Affairs. In 2011, she received her Executive Masters Degree in Business Administration from the Asian Institute of Management. In 2012, she completed her Aviation Quality Training from Lufthansa Training Phils.
After her graduation from La Salle, Cathy first worked as Protocol Officer at the Department of Foreign Affairs where she rubbed elbows with many of the prominent diplomatic corps figures at that time. Later, she worked as Executive Assistant at the Korean Embassy in Manila. This was followed by a stint as Branch Manager of the California Branch of the family-owned Sapphire Cargo Movers, Inc., in Glendale, California, where she served for eight years.
A multi-awarded former world speed shooting champion, Cathy’s sense of discipline and excellence has led her to become President and Academy Director at Sapphire International Aviation Academy.
